It is Christmas Eve, well only really 45 min to go, and I have three sleeping babes in their beds. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day.
I feel so very lucky to have my three boys and this year I have many girlfriends who have joined me in motherhood. Babies born in 2006 that I am lucky enough to know personnaly including my own Liam now total 12!
I have talked at length to these new mothers and everytime I am astonished that in general we do not get more support - I want to say again and again loud and clear "mom you are doing the right thing"
So often as a new mom you get conflicting advice be it from professionals or others but it is ok - no it is best to trust your instinct.
When breastfeeding you and your baby are the best judge of how long, how much, how often is right for you and your baby. Once your baby is latching on and you get pee and poo in those diapers you are doing the right thing! Now just get some sleep and whatever urge you get do not clean or tidy up!
